A.A.Brown & Sons Jubilee pair
A second photographic session of the Jubilee guns, this time featuring the pair and the Coronation gun with a new stock. They were made to commemorate the Coronation and Silver Jubilee of HM the Queen in 1977. Gun number one is the Coronation gun with a scene on the left side of the ceremony and Windsor Castle, a scene on the right side of the carriage and Buckingham Palace and on the underside a portrait of the Queen from the Coronation. Gun number two has a scene on the left side of the Queen's family at Balmoral, a scene on the right side of Prince Charles' investiture and Sandringham House and on the underside a portrait of the Queen from the Silver Jubilee. They were engraved by Geoffrey Casbard and the designs were compiled by the sportsman who commissioned the work, Geoff Casbard and Browns. The pair were completed c.1977/78.
